Baltimore Museum of Industry
Maryland’s history comes to life at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Housed in a former cannery that operated in the 19th century, the BMI celebrates the workers, small business owners, and residents who transformed Baltimore into a booming industrial center. Permanent exhibits include a print shop with vintage typewriters, a garment loft, and a pharmacy and soda shop. On Saturdays you can also take advantage of the BMI’s farmers' market, where you’ll find local produce and artisanal goods. Check the museum’s website for temporary exhibits and monthly events, including free admission days.
