Avid sports spectators generally don't enjoy having me around for Gametime. My commentary includes:
"Who in their right mind picked a purple and yellow color combination for a football team?"
"Who's the black and gold team? I want them to win. The gold helmuts looks amazing in the sunlight."
"Check out the sacred geometry in the Steelers' logo."
At go-to sports bar for Seahawk fans in hip but family-oriented Ballard, The Loft has other distractions for people like me while the game is on. I can sip on a local brew and enjoy a meal - anything on the creative classics menu drenched in the chef's own secret bar-b-que concoction - and appreciate the custom booth I'm sitting in made of reclaimed fir trees. On that precious nice day in Seattle, the outside patio is heaven.
As The Loft shuttles hyped-up fans to the stadium on their party bus, I head upstairs for rounds of vintage duckhunter, pool, and darts.
Game On. Everybody Wins.
