We stayed at Baliku Dive Resort in Amed, Bali in late December. The rooms are set up on a hill that steeply slopes to the stone-covered beach below. All the rooms have views of the lush green hills and valley on the inland side, and the gorgeous sunrise to the ocean side. One can wake up to the sounds of the village at 5AM, and watch the fishing pontoon boats take off for the morning fishing. Within 20m from shore is a japanese shipwreck which was amazing snorkeling for our 4 and 5 year old, and was the perfect beginner dive spot for my husband and me.
