Safari parks aren't usually top of my to do lists on holiday, but I have to admit it wasn't just the kids that enjoyed Bali Safari and Marine Park. To start off with we saw the piranha feeding, a chicken carcass being lowered into the tank, which was one of the most strangely captivating things I've ever seen. The morning animal show was really fun and the elephant show later in the afternoon was well produced, informative and extremely entertaining. There are lots of animals to see and some you can touch. Food and drink in the park are expensive, but you are allowed to take food and lots of water with you. Another great feature is the small water park on the grounds that is heavenly at the end of a hot day. You can book tickets through most hotels or at the small travel agents that are all over the more touristy areas of Bali, and pick up and drop off at your hotel is generally included in the price.
