Wandering around the small Mediterranean town of Nerja, Andalucia, Spain, gave me a sense of life there. I looked at the windows and doors, trying to capture a glimpse of what the homes looked like. But, often just seeing what the door looked like or what was outside on the small balcony gave me an idea of what the people who lived there were like. I loved this little balcony with all the colorful flowers. Although it was mid-October the flowers were still blooming (and it was still warm). I wish I could have met the person who lived there to compliment them on their sense of style. If you go to Andalucia, do stop in Nerja. There are a lot of Brits there (expats), but it is a charming seaside town with that Southern Spain flair.
