This is Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ. This is the real Jersey Shore. The beach below is our "terrace" as we call it. From early May to late September, you can find us here with our toes in the sand and Springsteen playing on our radio. Around noon, we stroll up to Convention Hall for an ice cold drink or a seasonal lunch on the boardwalk at one of our favorite restaurants. With a range of options, from Cuban to Italian and Mexican to Caribbean, we often decide on where to dine based on whether our favorite bartenders are working. While the food is excellent in each establishment, its the people of Asbury Park that grant you the complete experience.
Asbury Park is a town in mid-transformation. From the days of the "circuit" when visitors flocked to the Palace Amusements, to the destruction and decay initiated by riots in the streets, and now to the people who "Bought In" to bring it back. Asbury Park is a gem, currently being polished, and ready to shine.
