This remarkable contemporary art museum is located in the seaside town of Ishøj, just 20 kilometers (12 miles) and a short train ride south of Copenhagen. It contains works by many Scandinavian artists, including Danish-Icelandic star Olafur Eliasson, and has also staged exhibitions of international artists, including China’s Ai Weiwei and Brits Damien Hirst and Grayson Perry. Huge moats are currently being dug around the museum to turn it into its own island of art.
