Arches National Park

Rocks, Rocks, Rocks.
Who thought geological formations could be so cool?! Besides geologists, you will too when you visit the Arches National Park. This is one of many beautiful photos that I captured while hiking through this dry, dry desert land. The heat was so much different than than hot humid of the Caribbean or Texas. It was dry and bearable... in fact, I hiked barefoot. Yes. that's correct. I marveled at this place in the summer. I can only imagine what it looks like in the winter, covered in snow. It's apparently a pretty popular spot for Europeans as well -- while hiking, I noticed I was one of the only English-speaking visitors at the time. So if folks travel from around the world to see the beauty in our backyards, you definitely need to make Arches one of your road-trip stops.
