Palermo Pasticceria
Seeing the locals and businessmen slowly sauntering in for their espresso or lunch, you get a sense that these locals don't realise what great food they have at their fingertips. Whether you are after a coffee, sweets, something for lunch or a treat to snack on back at the hotel, this pasticceria has options galore. Established in 1909, this family run business is split over two levels and when we said how much we loved it, one of the family members gave us an espresso cup as a souvenir. This cup now takes pride of place next to my husband's coffee machine at home. Low key and great without knowing it's great, places like this are some of best places to eat in Italy...
