For a bit of physical effort it is possible to feel castaway on a deserted island in the Seychelles without blowing the budget on a 10,000 euro a night hotel.
Everybody who goes to La Digue dips their toes into the aquamarine water off infamous Anse Source d'Argent. Fewer go to the stunning beaches on the south west coast - their secluded perfection can be all yours!
Getting there: Hire a bike in town and pedal the undulating road out Grand Anse for 30 minutes. From Grand Anse find the walking track on the northern end - look out for the signs pointing the way. The beaches are separated by rocky headlands so be prepared for a some hiking. Petite Anse is about 15-20 minute walk and Anse Coco is another 20-25 minutes further.
There is a cafe/restaurant at Grand Anse - a nice little option for lunch. Alternatively pack a picnic with plenty of water for a leisurely few hours castaway on Anse Coco.
