The Annapolis Valley is mostly know for it's farms and fruit, however it is also known to be one of the most beautiful places in Nova Scotia (which is saying something!) Although the landscape itself, with its rolling hills and the distant muddy shores of the Bay of Fundy, is gorgeous on its own,the local architecture and installations certainly add to the charm.
This installation, made of mirrors and old piano parts, is one we saw in a back road by the historical town of Grand-Pre (whose historical site is fantastic in its own right). We were driving along the coast when we decided to get lost in the roads, finding this little gem. If you're ever in the area I greatly suggest you do the same, you won't regret it. The local antiquated buildings and dramatic landscapes are stunning enough, but clearly you never know what you will find in the valley.
