Andaz San Diego
When you arrive at its boutique property in the Gaslamp Quarter, Andaz makes you feel like you’re coming home. Rather than being greeted with a line and a check-in desk, you’ll take a seat in the lounge, get all the information you need from a host, and receive a complimentary drink. Spacious, loft-inspired rooms and suites reinforce the hotel’s homey vibe. Designed in the spirit of Southern California, the modern spaces prominently feature warm woods and clean lines. And just like at home, you can help yourself to a selection of free in-room snacks, drinks, and Keurig coffee—a nice change of pace from overpriced minibars.

Go for a dip in the rooftop pool by day, and sip craft cocktails at RoofTop600 by night. Between your room and the roof, you could easily never leave the property, but don’t forget that you’re in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. Definitely explore the neighborhood between swim sessions.

Neighborhood Vibe
With its abundance of restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops, the Gaslamp Quarter has no shortage of dining and entertainment options. For a sweet treat, stop by Heavenly Cupcake, where unique flavors like snickerdoodle and banana cream stand along such favorites as red velvet and salted caramel. More substantial fare can be found at Bice Ristorante, where an award-winning cheese bar and housemade pasta steal the show. For some local culture, check out contemporary work by San Diego artists at Sparks Gallery. At night head to Fluxx, a club that mesmerizes with its changing themes and custom lighting and sound. Recharge and repeat.
