It’s easy to become a shopaholic along this square mile in the center of Glasgow crammed with over 200 shops. Dubbed as the UK’s most successful shopping location outside London’s west end, expect lots of unique designer stores and strictly British boutiques. I head to the pedestrian-only Buchanan Street which is book ended by two big malls, Buchanan Galleries in the north and St. Enoch Centre in the south. Now suss out shops like Ted Baker and AllSaints for the edgy designs that don’t-take-themselves-too-seriously-wear. Lively street buskers, some blaring bagpipes or other indie musicians might be serenading shoppers so don’t be surprised by the amusing atmosphere.
