Traveling threw the Inside Passage from Seattle threw Pudget Sound north is quite an AMAZING experience for sure in what is called "The Inside Passage". This route has to be my most favorite one to sail along on my way up to Southeast Alaska. Beauty is in the air in the world's largest rain forest. There's this small quite charming native village on Victoria Island, Alert Bay "Home of the Killer Whale" is its name, on Cormorant Island. I love this spot in particularly in British Columbia. There's something raw & natural vibrant feel to the air in these parts. The village is in traditional Kwakwaka'wakw territory, slightly more than half of the village's residents are First Nations people. The Big House is the place to visit for the most incredible tribal dance performance. The dance performance was amazing to see a cultural so in tack with their roots with many generations taking part of the potlatch or ceremony that could last for days. Overall Alert Bay is an amazing find & not to be missed on Victoria Island.
