Wander through magical Venice and you'll likely fist notice those things that Venice is best known for: the charming gondolas, the winding canals, bustling St. Mark's Square. But look a bit closer and you'll notice other things, smaller details, that I think make this city that much more beautiful. I especially enjoy coming across things like this colorful poster, stuck to the wall of a centuries-old building, peeling and soggy after several recent rainstorms. I loved the splash of bright color against the building's otherwise colorless stone facade. When visiting enchanting Venice, make sure to take a minute from time to time to look at the small details around you so you don't miss any of the more subtle beauties the city has to offer.
