Savour the super fresh, vibrant flavours of Lebanese cuisine at Al Hallab
Save yourself from mall ennui at Dubai Mall, skip the food courts and enjoy the incredibly well-made Lebanese fare at Al Hallab. My top picks: hummus, baba ghanouj, makanek (baby sausages drizzled with pomegranate sauce), hindbeh (chicory greens), hummus fatah (pictured above: deep-fried khubz/pita pieces, submerged under a heap of chickpeas, creamy yogurt, pine nuts, and a melted waterfall of butter) and kabab khoush khash (minced lamb kababs in a pool of grilled tomato sauce). Their service and the crazy weekend rush leaves much to be desired, but visit on a quiet weekday lunch or reserve a table on their balcony seating outside overlooking the dancing fountains so that the view makes up for any service hiccups.
