Afternoon Tea in Victoria
When the English arrived in Victoria in 1841, they brought along the ritual of afternoon tea—and hardly a day's passed since without a "cuppa." Tea service is still practiced traditionally but some places add modern West Coast flair, such as including local honey from rooftop apiaries or adding Asian-influenced menus. We recommend the afternoon tea services at the Fairmont Empress, the Venus Tea Room, the Teahouse at the Abkhazi Garden and the White Heather Tea Room.
