The three main Aegadian Islands (Isole Egadi)—Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo—are just a 20-minute ferry or hydrofoil ride from Trapani and are surrounded by crystal-clear azure waters. Favignana, the largest and closest of the islands, is something of a fashionable summer destination (Miuccia Prada owns a home here) and known for its stunning beaches such as Cala Rossa and sea caves such as Grotta Azzurra and Grotta dei Sospiri.
