You'd be forgiven for thinking this place is a tourist trap like every other revolving "sky tower" in the world. The upstairs Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck and Skywalk are just that, in fact. But the difference between the Sydney Tower Eye and every other revolving sky tower in the world are the harbor views, which are truly spectacular from this vantage point. Such a stunning waterscape can only be appreciated from at least 305 meters (1,000 feet) up in the air. Tourist-fearing travelers should skip the observation deck and skywalk and head straight to 360 Bar and Dining, accessed by a private elevator from the fourth floor of the Westfield shopping center downtown. Arrive early to snag a seat near the picture windows, and order a creative cocktail—the Slaughterhouse Five features house-infused bacon bourbon—to drink alongside small plates that range from fish and chips to kangaroo tartare and oxtail gnocchi. There's a $20 minimum here, but that's cheaper than the observation deck and includes a drink to sip during the hour-long revolution. Enjoy the ride.
