Regina Farmers' Market
Amongst the typical local fruits and veggie selection you would expect to find at a Farmers' Market you'll also find Mennonites selling their organic eggs and bread, small distilleries providing homemade whisky and vodka to keep you warm during the winter months, locally made preserves with recipes passed down from the generations that had learned them in eastern Europe. The Regina Farmers' Market has a unique mix of vendors that can't be duplicated elsewhere. Be sure to stop in for a cheap lunch, purchase the delicious poppyseed and raspberry loafs and get to know the friendly locals in this relatively hidden part of Canada that does not get many tourists. The outdoor market is open from the first Saturday of May to October and is held each Saturday and Wednesday- indoor markets are on Saturdays from start of March to end of April.
