I love this studio and showroom of surfboards and custom made furniture. The owner, Danny Hess, was interviewed in AFAR Magazine, so I thought it would be cool to thank him for the suggestions he made in the magazine and have that surreal moment of meeting someone I only knew through a picture. I met the other founders of the shop, Josh and Luke, who gave me a tour of the whole studio. I loved seeing all of the chairs hung on the upper back of the wall, ready to be made into something new. I love seeing the creative process from the inside out and these guys couldn’t have been nicer. This place isn’t really for the public, per se, but if you’re a designer or a surfer looking for a custom piece, you may find something worthwhile.
