Where to Buy Chinese Silk Lanterns in Hoi An, Vietnam
An important destination for East Asian traders in the 16th and 17th centuries, Hoi An is famous for its traditional Chinese silk lanterns. This shop’s family has produced its own lotus-shaped versions for generations.

Ask about or comment on this Highlight!I have bought some of these lovely lanterns on a trip to Hoi An and now that I have got them home, can't figure out how to pop them up so that they will stay up. Does anyone know... is there a hook or something on the internal wire? I can see a couple of bumps in the wire where it looks like they should attach to the frame at the top but they don't seem able to stay in the grooves provided. Would be grateful for any help!
