Hop aboard a short (and cheap!) train ride from Bangkok to visit the ruins of Ayutthaya, which was founded in 1350 and was the second capital of the Siamese Kingdom. Wander around on foot, rent a bike, or tour the ruins by elephant. It is a sight to behold!
