One of my favourite ways of escaping the heat and noise of busy Vientiane streets was visiting the local temples. The Wat Ong Teu temple is hidden behind a large, ornamented gate, just off the main road. There was something relaxing about feeling the coolness of of the temple's floor as I was walking around it bare feet, admiring the wonderfully rich architecture. As I took a walk around the temple, I saw a monk passing by, his bright orange robe contrasting against the intricate gold ornaments of the temple's door. I was lucky enough to capture this moment on my camera!
