I piggybacked a job with a couple days on Owens River just 30 miles north of Bishop off hey 395 in Eastern sierras. one of the most beautiful spots I've ever fished! the river has rainbow and brown trout set against high granite ranges. the river meanders for miles and is treeless so the wide expanse and natural beauty is so unique. the river is only 10-15 t wide with snake turns all the way to Crowley lake. Brown campground is on the river and the only game in town, where a campsite will cost $23. hit water, showers , fire pits, fish cleaning sink. you can fly fish and use barbless lures on upper Owens. have fun !!!!
