Tropical flora and fauna in Singapore
While maybe a little expected in most Singapore trip recommendations, a visit to the National Orchid Garden is well worth mentioning. Due to its close proximity to the equator, the year-round hot, humid climate in Singapore can prove to be a bit difficult to adjust to at times … never in your life will you be more thankful for air-conditioned shopping malls. That climate, however, also blesses us with this striking tropical flower. Thriving in humid weather, this section of the Singapore Botanical Gardens showcases thousands of the world’s most beautiful orchids. Be sure to bring your camera, dress for the weather, drink lots of water, and take your time while you explore the numerous tranquil walks through orchids of all sizes and colors. The small entry fee will prove to be a great way to spend an afternoon.
