The Toowong Cemetary is a quiet expanse of grass and trees, sloping up from the busy freeway into leafy residential neighbourhoods. It's a significant hike from bottom to top, but the views are worth it. Few tourists visit, but there's a lot of history to be seen here ... including, perhaps, the burial site of Jack the Ripper ...

The cemetary is near the Mt Cootha Botanical gardens and the Mt Cootha viewpoint, which are also worth a visit. I recommend a twilight walk at the Cemetary, followed by a sunset | nightfall beer outside at the restaurant on top of Mt Cootha.
