Itamambuca, located in Ubatuba, it´s one of the most beautiful beaches on the northern coast of São Paulo - Brasil. To reach the beach, you have to cross the river Itamambuca (illustrated in the photo above). Depending on the season, the river is slightly cooler than the seawater, and vice versa. Some people prefer stay there than go into the sea. I like both, so my tip is to cross the river with a big splash, go to the left corner of the beach - where you can find the perfect spot with natural shadow! Then run out and jump into the sea! For those who risk the surf, get ready to fall in love with Itamambuca! Perfect waves! About the local cuisine, you can find many options, the dish that I liked most was the filet of fish "Dourado" (wich means Gold in English) stuffed with shrimp and cheese with tomato souce. Without forgetting the delicious salad that accompanies this dish. An important detail: bring insect repellent!
