Along a long, narrow street packed with tiny shops, restaurants and homes, stands this rustic gem near Songkhla Beach. On this particularly hot afternoon, the journey to come back to the place where we just had lunch seemed impossible, especially, when one of your elderly aunts was behind the wheel. Finding parking on this overly crowded one-way street was the least of my worries as impatient cars followed way too closely. I just wanted her to pick up the pace. (Did I mention it was only a one lane?) And we were making this special return trip all for fresh, steamed buns, which were available at a specific time. Come too late and they were all gone. The wait was worth it as we opened baskets upon baskets of hot, steaming buns, each with its own hidden surprise.
