When thinking of Capilano, most people think of the suspension bridge. Now don't get me wrong, the bridge is fantastic, however if you want a longer (and free) experience of the Capilano River, just hike through the municipal park! There's a couple of fun wooden bridges, a salmon hatchery for exploration and a huge dam if you walk to the top (with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains as well!). Whether travelling on a budget, or just interested in a more local experience, this is a must do outdoor experience for any age!
