The Dock at Lake Providence
Whenever I read about a summer home on a lake, I generally have a vision in my head but never thought of the lake as something spectacular. Seeing a sunset where you are in the middle of rural cornfields and slow-paced life, however, I am getting used to the idea that there just might be something in living on or near a lake. Of course the mosquitoes are a tad trying, but I am getting excited that for at least two years, this could very well be something I get to experience often. The Dock offers an assortment of fresh catch and I'd have to say that despite not being a big fan of Southern food, their fried pickles and catfish po' boy were pretty good.
