The beach north of Myumba, Gabon

North of Myumba, in southern Gabon, is a beautiful stretch of untouched beach. It's not easy to get to! But if you are driving the road from Tchibanga to Myumba, there is a turn off for Gamba. After you cross the bac, there is a road heading for the beach. Several French people have summer houses nearby, which serves as a good landmark. It is very difficult to travel in Gabon, so it is best to go with a local. However, the rewards are immense! Swimming dolphins, oysters clinging to rocks, sea turtles nesting in the sand, fantastic fishing, this beach has it all! As well as thousands of mosquitoes who have never seen such tender flesh, so bring your net! And don't forget to check in with the nearby village - it's always polite to stop in and say hello!
