Tai O is a village on the western side of the beautiful Lantau Island, It is just a short ferry ride from Hong Kong, and yet it is a whole other world. The village feels much more traditional Chinese, and the stilt houses hanging over the water are unreal. Just to go for a walk through the village makes the trip worth it. There is a bed and breakfast and a boutique hotel in town for an overnight stay. The food is very based on seafood, and the restaurants are quite good and authentic. There are boats that leave Tai O to go dolphin spotting.
