Surreal landscape of religious sculptures all over
The city of Datong is pretty ugly, but filled with amazing UNESCO worthy sites like this. The Yungang grottos and one of the top 3 famous religious sculpture sites in China. Definitely worth a weekend trip if you're in the North of China.
