Dominical has grown from a dusty surf camp hangout to a tourist destination reaching beyond the break to lure visitors to this slice of paradise. Costa Paraiso is a little resort tucked away on a private cove just south of town, keeping you close to the action while providing relaxing refuge when you're in need of a non-wave break.
Dominicalito Beach to the south of the cove has some fantastic surfing for beginners and intermediates. Contact Dylan at Sunset Surf School to find a board or get a tune-up on your cutback skills. The same beach provides delightful swimming and at low tide is a great stretch of sand to walk or run.
The resort staff are dialed into the scene and provided numerous recommendations during our stay. We love the upper deck, and food in the cafe is fresh and delicious. Sparkling clean cabinas vary in size and are fully furnished with everything you need. We have friends who live up the hill and they all rave about the Paraiso, so you know you've come to the right place. Book early. It is a small resort which is the biggest part of its charm.
