While visiting a friend at Duke in North Carolina, I was taken to Allen & Son for some good Southern BBQ! I would have never found this restaurant on my own as it is definitely off the beaten path but well worth the drive! I had the BBQ chicken which was amazing and the hushpuppies were some of the best I have ever had. If you like sweet tea, it is supposed to be some of the best but was too sweet for me.
