Looking for a great little ski town in the Swiss Alps?

Head to Leysin it's within an hour or two of Geneva, Lausanne and Monteux. Take a cogwheel train 1600m up from Aigle and there you are.

You can walk everywhere in the town, from the hotel to the chair lift to the pubs. Small enough for everyone to treat you like a local once you have been there for a few days, and big enough to have your own space and privacy.

Ski, snowboard or for a quiet, peaceful workout on your own, rent some snowshoes and go off piste taking in the backcountry.
