While in Cocoa Beach, Florida in March, I got up early for a sunrise. Someone had built a very simple sand castle and it provided the perfect "prop" for the sunrise. It was cool, as I was lying in the sand. I was in my fleece and hat to keep warm. As the sun lit up the cloudy sky, I began to shoot and I knew there was at least one good image in there. I love sunrise, but sunrise on the beach is exceptional: the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the call of the seagulls, the feel of cool soft sand on your fingers, the scent of the sea breeze tickling your nose, and the taste of salt on your lips. Just you, your camera, a lot of seagulls and just a few humans. Bliss!
