Located on the tip of Chichagof Island is the small fishing village of Elfin Cove. Alaska is famous for small & remote fishing communities that may have a “few cabins” to call it a community or town or village, etc. Elfin Cove is unique that it is situated on a boardwalk that circles the town with house on stilts & not to forget the floating houses. There’s a post office, school, museum, gift shop, general store, restaurant & fish processing plant to name a few of the items on the island. The only way to get there is by boat or float plane. The yearlong population of the village is only a couple of dozen with most of the residents coming to the village for the summer.
