Cerveceria Catalana for great tapas! Always terrific! One of our favorites in Barcelona! Have been several times over the years and always wonderful. Can find info on the web.

Cerveceria Catalana is always packed, as are most of the best-known tapas places and cava bars. We like Quimet y Quimet, which attracts lots of tourists as well as locals. If you are adventurous, stick your head in any place you see on a side street and judge by the crowds and the food on display if you want to take a chance. If you cruise reviews, look for ones in Spanish or Catalan rather than English.
Things to do? There's so much that in a week you can't get to a fraction of it, so set priorities - art, churches, shopping, etc. - and rough out some must-dos. But don't forget to just slow down, sit at cafes, shop in markets and enjoy the beautiful city of Barcelona.
