This was taken in 2010 in Hiroshima, Japan, not far from the Children's Memorial. It was a beautiful day and there were dozens of strings of paper cranes laid out on the monuments along the path to the memorial. I encourage anyone visiting Japan to visit Hiroshima. Despite its tragic past, the city is a bright, vibrant place to visit and should not be missed!
