In the San Blas district of Peru, was the restaurant Pachapapa. This was by far the best meal we had in Peru. It was nestled in a courtyard and all the dishes were prepared in an oven next to us. Quite spectacular. DELICIOUS!
Looks and sounds amazing, Blake! I've noticed a lot of your Highlights would be great contenders for this week's 'CATCH!' contest. The themes are "Delicious" and "Are we there yet?" For instance, if you were to insert the word "delicious" anywhere in this Highlight - and download/log in to AFAR's new mobile app - you'd be automatically entered to win a trip to India! Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck and happy travels!

thanks Lauren! I am brand new to the Afar community so I'd love to be involved / helpful in any way I can. A potential trip to India is certainly attractive as well :)
Excellent. Welcome to the community! Please let me know if you have any questions and/or feedback. Looking forward to following your Highlights!
Hey Blake. I want to thank you for this Highlight. I ended up going here my last night in Cusco and it was one of my favorite meals and definitely my favorite spot. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. The cobblestones, heated patio, wood fire oven and a harpist playing in the background made it and unforgettable place. Thanks again!
Lauren - great to hear that you enjoyed it!
Besides Cusco, where would you suggest spending a few days in Peru? A friend and I will be there in October and are looking for off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods and beach towns. Of course any rest...
