Climbing is an essential part of life in Korea. The city of Seoul is broken up by a series of mountains making day climbs a weekly part of life in the uber-modern society.

There are several nice mountains to climb or hike in Seoul. The one pictured here is Boramsan, in Nowon-gu. The best way to reach Boramsan is to take Line 4 to Dangogae Station. Once you are there take exits 1 or 2 and continue to walk east towards the mountain. Every path has signage that will give you a rough outline of the path ahead.
