Many Asiatic explorers know Narita for the international airport that connects them from one exotic country to the next. Many of the times, airport towns are not as interesting as we'd like them to be; often flourishing solely due to the airport itself. Fortunately, Narita does not fall into that category.
A small town, but an interesting one worth exploring when you have a long layover or simply want to devote a day between flights. There is a rather large temple located there and many small souvenir shops perfect for picking up a traditional neko cat or a daruma doll. If you're lucky enough, you'll even stumble upon a local festival.
