Does a Nature and Art museum need be housed in a structure that remains the same?

The Insel Hombroich is on the edge of Dusseldorf (in Neuss) and offers visitors the opportunity to continue the pursuit of art, for which this region is well known, but in an environment where the art is strategically and holistically embedded with nature.

This is most clearly represented in the expansion to encompass the grounds of a former NATO-owned 'Raketenstation Kapellen', a Cold War-era Belgium NIKE* rocket launch base, added in 1994 to the “natural sophistication” that blends art, architecture, science, therapy and aesthetics in over 620 acres of meadowland.
