Noordhoek beach is located on the Atlantic side of the Cape Peninsula and best visited at sunset. Along the road to the beach you'll find several guesthouses, making it a great weekend getaway destination for Cape Town urbanites. Horseback riding is also a popular beach activity in Noordhoek (check out nearby Imhoff Farm for details) After the sunset, the Red Herring dishes up some of the best pizza in Cape Town, and also has a rooftop deck for those post-beach walk sundowners. For a quieter setting, walk up the hill to Monkey Valley Resort and you'll feel like you're in a lodge built by the Swiss Family Robinson.
