Off the Waffle is one of our favorite spots in Eugene for a great meal, and we certainly aren't alone. Starting as a food truck, these two brothers and their father created a wonderful community business serving Liege waffles topped with local ingredients. Two of my favorites are the "just trust us" (avocado, strawberries, basil, and Nigella seeds) and the "BMB" (shown in the photo with bacon, harvarti cheese, maple syrup, basil, and a sunny side up egg). Even guests who swear that they are waffle purists leave with a change of tune, coming back to visit us just for an off the waffle experience. During the fall, they have a waffle with local chanterelles, bacon, and maple syrup. Best part is they are open in the morning for an early craving until late at night. Be forewarned...these are addictive!
