In 2012, I went to southern China to learn about the Musuo tribe - the world's last matriarch society. In this culture, women inherit all property and money, and make all family decisions. The Musuo do not marry, instead women take as many lovers as they wish. Settled alongside the beautiful Lugu Lake at over 2000 meters above sea level, the Musuo truly live an extraordinary lifestyle.
