What makes a meal great? I like to think it is a combination of atmosphere, company and, of course, the food.

Starving for carbs to keep me going for the day full of museum and church hopping. We stopped at an unassuming little restaurant with outdoor seating called Clive T. La Clavature.

I ordered the pumpkin tortellini with a balsamic reduction. The pasta was fresh and their bellies swollen with the orange pumpkin filling perfectly accentuated with the sour and yet sweet balsamic vinegar reduction.

Bologna is not only famed for it's Bolognese sauce but for stuffed pastas, particularly with pumpkin. If you're a ravioli or a tortellini lover I suggest stopping in Bologna, Northern Italy's food capital. Pick a charming street to watch the people, cars and vespas and their narrow misses.
