Cambodia is a warm and welcoming country. It is also humid, dusty and crowded on market days. Each day, I would wake with anticipation of what wonders I would discover in this amazing country. However, by the end of the day, the thing I most looked forward to was coming back "home" to the sweet, fragrant smell of a bundle of jasmine lying on my pillow. The Cambodian custom is to string a bundle of jasmine flowers together to welcome a guest. This simple gift did wonders to cleanse my spirit and renew my senses after long days of exploring.
